Daily Challenges & Achievements

Yes, we gamified exam prep. And it works.

Look, we know that "gamification" sounds like something a product manager says in a meeting to justify adding confetti animations. But here's the thing: the single biggest predictor of CIRE exam success isn't intelligence, it isn't prior finance experience — it's showing up consistently. And it turns out, streaks and badges are absurdly effective at making you show up.

So we leaned into it. Sue us.

The Daily Challenge: one question, every day

Every day at midnight Eastern Time, a new multiple-choice question appears. Four options. One correct answer. That's it — no full quiz, no timed pressure, just a single question to keep your brain in CIRE mode.

Daily Challenge page showing the heading 'Can You Crack Today's Question?', a single multiple-choice question about IDPC Rule 5130 with four options (A through D), element and difficulty tags at the top of the card, a timer, and a Submit Answer button
Today's challenge. One question, four options. The element tag and difficulty badge at the top tell you what you're being tested on.

After you answer, you'll see whether you got it right — and how the community did. The card shows total attempts and the percentage of users who answered correctly. It's a quick gut-check: are you keeping pace with other candidates, or is this a topic you need to revisit?

Midnight reset, streak-at-risk warning

The daily challenge resets at midnight Eastern Time. After 6 PM ET, you'll see a "streak at risk" warning if you haven't completed today's challenge yet. Don't ignore it — a 30-second question is cheaper than rebuilding a broken streak.

You don't even need an account

The daily challenge is available right on the landing page for anonymous users. No signup required. It's designed as a taste of what EnCiro offers — but if you're already a user, complete it from your dashboard so it counts toward your streak and achievement progress.

Streaks: the habit engine

EnCiro tracks two types of streaks, and they work differently:

Daily Challenge Streak — consecutive days completing the daily challenge. Resets at midnight Eastern Time. This is the one shown on your challenge card.

Study Streak — consecutive days where you've completed at least one quiz activity. Any quiz counts — practice, mock exam, daily challenge. This one resets on UTC boundaries.

Why you should care about a number

Fifteen minutes a day genuinely beats three hours on Saturday. Your brain learns better through spaced repetition than through cramming — and a streak is just spaced repetition wearing a competitive hat.

The minimum viable study session

Short on time? The daily challenge takes 30 seconds. A 10-question practice quiz takes about 5 minutes. Either one keeps your streak alive. Some days that's all you need.

Achievements: career milestones

Achievements are permanent badges you earn for hitting milestones. Once earned, they're yours forever — unlike that streak you accidentally broke on vacation. Find them on your dedicated Achievements page in the dashboard.

Achievements page titled Career Milestones showing 2 of 6 unlocked. Two earned badges in full colour with green UNLOCKED tags and award dates — Market Maker (complete 500 questions with over 80% accuracy) and Compliance Officer (clear Regulatory Framework module with 100% score). Four locked badges greyed out with lock icons and progress bars — High Frequency (maintain a 7-day study streak, 4%), Perfect Hedge (score over 90% on Derivatives module, 0%), Institutional (complete 10 full mock exams, 20%), and Early Riser (complete a study session before 7 AM, 0%)
Your trophy case. Earned badges show in full colour with the date you unlocked them. Locked ones are greyed out with progress bars showing how close you are.

Each badge tests a different dimension of your preparation — volume, accuracy, element mastery, consistency, and study habits. Here's what you're working toward:

BadgeWhat it takesWhat it proves
Market MakerComplete 500 questions with >80% accuracyYou've put in serious volume and maintained quality — not just grinding, actually learning
Compliance OfficerClear the Regulatory Framework module with 100% scoreYou've mastered the foundation that every other element builds on
High FrequencyMaintain a 7-day study streakYou've built the daily habit that separates passers from crammers
Perfect HedgeScore >90% on the Derivatives moduleYou've conquered the element most candidates fear — options, futures, and all
InstitutionalComplete 10 full mock examsYou've done the reps under real exam conditions, not just topic quizzes
Early RiserComplete a study session before 7 AMYou're the kind of candidate who finds time before the day even starts

How to read your progress

Earned badges display in full colour with a green UNLOCKED tag and the date you earned them. Locked badges are greyed out with a lock icon and a progress bar showing exactly how close you are. No guessing, no mystery — you always know what's left.

Action: Check your Achievements page weekly. If a badge is at 80%+ progress, make it your short-term goal. The momentum of unlocking one badge often carries you straight into the next.

Compliance Officer is the one to chase first

Clearing Regulatory Framework with a perfect score isn't just a badge — it means you've nailed the element that underlies every other topic on the exam. KYC, suitability, trading rules — they all reference the regulatory framework. Master it first, and everything else gets easier.

The honest truth about gamification

Streaks break. Life happens. If yours resets because you had the flu or went on vacation or just plain forgot, don't spiral. The knowledge you've built doesn't disappear when a number goes back to zero.

Use streaks and achievements as tools to build consistency — not as sources of guilt when they lapse. The real achievement is passing the CIRE, and everything here is designed to get you there.
